A word of caution for readers. This is a personal blog not connected to nor endorsed by any church or organisation.

This site is NOT about the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church. This site is about schisms from the SDA Church. For non-Adventist readers, please do not confuse and mistake ex-Adventist offshoots with the 'mainstream' and official SDA Church. They can be chalk and cheese - black and white.

Similarly, if you are wondering about blood transfusions, you have the wrong religion - you are confusing Adventists with Jehovah Witnesses. Likewise, if you are wondering about young missionaries from Utah knocking of your door too early on the weekend, wrong again - you are confusing Adventists with LDS-Mormons.

This site is primarily dedicated to the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement (SDARM) because it is the biggest and best organized of the SDA schisms. However, other SDA offshoots are also explored in other articles on this site. In most cases, these other offshoots have a number of similarities to the SDARM.

As is made clear throughout this blog, the terms 'Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement', 'SDARM' and 'Reformists' do not necessarily refer to any one particular group or individual. In fact, there are many groups or individuals who claim these names - and many who decry their use by others. After all, remember the 'M' in SDARM stands for 'Movement', not 'Church.

The articles expressed herein are general in nature, and do not necessarily reflect every group or individual claiming to represent the SDARM or any other group. Whilst the articles purport to discuss what on the whole represents the ultra-conservative wing of the Adventist Movement, the authors wholly admit that not every comment will apply to every Reformist group or individual.

Moreover and conversely, it is acknowledged that other persons, whilst technically still remaining members of the 'mainstream' SDA Church, adopt essentially similar views to the SDARM and other offshoots. This site and its concerns are also for them, and all fanatically conservative adherents of a legalistic and Pharisaic brand of Adventism.

Furthermore, it should be remembered that there are some wonderful, loving and caring Christian people in each of these ex-Adventist movements. The criticisms outlined in this blog are not personal criticisms of them. Rather, the arguments outlined in the articles found on this site are primarily aimed at the systems and leaders who burden these wonderful people with unnecessary yokes.

For these reasons, the authors of this site still consider all ordinary members of the SDARM and other similar ex-Adventist groups brothers and sisters in the Adventist Movement. Like the Prodigal Son, it is they who call us 'mainstream' Adventists as apostate and in Babylon - not the other way around. And like the Prodigal Son, it is the deepest desire that our brethren will one day return home.

Whilst we remain divided, important energy is wasted on fighting each other, rather than uniting in the vital work of spreading the Three-Angel's Message. Despite its ultra-conservative stance, this author would be willing to consider Reformists brethren, even those in SDARM and IMS leadership, if they would simply stop attacking the 'mainstream' SDA Church and unite in its efforts to spread God's End-Time message.

However, there are concerns that Reformist obsessions about regulatory minutiae can itself become an idol. Such idols often detract from the more weightier matters of the Law concerning justice, mercy and the spreading the Gospel about the life, death, resurrection and second coming of Jesus' Christ.

For these reasons, some caution should be used. The concerns raised in this site may not apply to you or your particular group.

You may disagree with this site, especially if you are a member of the SDRAM. Disagreement is fine, but please disagree in a Christian manner as directed by 1 Pet 3:15-16. Constructive dialogue is encouraged - even if you want to disagree. The authors of this site will attempt to update or correct any errors if they can be substantiated. However, please refrain from personal attacks, threats or crude language, remembering to 'play the ball not but the man'.
